No other body of knowledge, in my quest, has ever better answered the questions of who we are, why we’re here, where we’re going, the purpose of life, how the mind functions and most importantly, what happens after the physical body returns to the earth.
14:5.10 (159.6) Love of adventure, curiosity, and dread of monotony—these traits inherent in evolving human nature—were not put there just to aggravate and annoy you during your short sojourn on earth, but rather to suggest to you that death is only the beginning of an endless career of adventure, an everlasting life of anticipation, an eternal voyage of discovery.
14:5.11 (160.1) Curiosity—the spirit of investigation, the urge of discovery, the drive of exploration—is a part of the inborn and divine endowment of evolutionary space creatures. These natural impulses were not given you merely to be frustrated and repressed. True, these ambitious urges must frequently be restrained during your short life on earth, disappointment must be often experienced, but they are to be fully realized and gloriously gratified during the long ages to come.
I will soon do a blog on the authors of the book but for now let me simply state that no human takes any credit for in part of the book, nor was it a channeled document.
Hydroviews are intended to dance with facts of science and the laws of nature to form an understanding, connection and union with whatever you might call the First Source and Center of everything. I like to call her “God “, I have no reason to believe she even cares by what name is invoked. When in communion I like to use the word Father as that is the way Jesus taught us.
2:6:5 (41.3) Righteousness may be the divine thought, but love is a father’s attitude. The erroneous supposition that the righteousness of God was irreconcilable with the selfless love of the heavenly father, presupposed absence of unity in the nature of Deity and led directly to the elaboration of the atonement doctrine, which is a philosophic assault upon both the unity and the free-willness of God.
The UB is a history book dating back to the origin of the universe. It begins by offering us a view of the cosmos and a cosmic creator. It is not another book or religion to believe in or reject, but rather a compilation of historic events of the past and how free will choices have brought us to where we are today. The authors freely used thoughts, insights, and writings from great minds of the past to help us better understand mind and its relationship to the soul, how we arrived at our present position and potential possibilities for the future. The book informs us of the dangers of Democracy:
71:2.1 (801.13) Democracy, while an ideal, is a product of civilization, not of evolution. Go slowly! select carefully! for the dangers of democracy are:
1. Glorification of mediocrity.
2. Choice of base and ignorant rulers.
3. Failure to recognize the basic facts of social evolution.
4. Danger of universal suffrage in the hands of uneducated and indolent majorities.
5. Slavery to public opinion; the majority is not always right.
Public opinion, common opinion, has always delayed society; nevertheless, it is valuable, for, while retarding social evolution, it does preserve civilization.
Most importantly it is a book of understanding designed to foster hope, instill faith and learn to live the life of Jesus rather the story about him. Jesus never judged any person by their race, beliefs, or customs. To Jesus it was simple, love God and serve man. Our sincerity and not the type of temple or set of doctrines we follow are what is important. Finding God in all men is when we discover we are all brothers and sisters.
39:4:14 (435.7) The keys of the kingdom of heaven are: sincerity, more sincerity, and more sincerity.
Democracy is in danger, corruption is rampant, population is out of control, our oceans are being poisoned. Personal responsibility, group wisdom and international cooperation are the building blocks to establishing “One God one family on one Planet”.
71:2:19 (802.13) The survival of democracy is dependent on successful representative government; and that is conditioned upon the practice of electing to public offices only those individuals who are technically trained, intellectually competent, socially loyal, and morally fit.
Evidence suggests that the spiritual forces that harbor the laws of nature are trustworthy, fixed and definite. Humans are the only creatures on the planet capable of altering millions of years of planetary evolution. We have the need ability and responsibility to act. The gifts of our forefathers have been bountiful, our use and abuse of these gifts has been unprecedented. Science, technology, and the study of nature are all indicating that we are on a collision path to disaster. We have the skills, ability, and talents necessary to avoid this disaster. A short hundred years ago we never dreamed that humans could change the face of the planet forever. We now know different. Responsibility is a uniquely human trait. No animal can be held responsible for their actions. They are not capable of destroying or rebuilding our precious planet Earth. We are on that road.
